Favorite things "The Little Prince"

I have all of these ideas of what I want to write and when I sit down it all disappears and I'm left with a big blank space. We are back from Utah safely.
One of my favorite books is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint - Exupery. He was a French Philosopher and I recently learned that he was an expert Pilot. He crashed a plane in the African Desert which presumably provided insight for his story and on July 31, 1944 went missing when his plane went down off the French Coast.
One of the things I enjoy most about the story is how children are continually trying to explain things to adults but we refuse to listen. If I were more willng to listen to my kids and hear what they have to say rather than only being pleased when they do as I wish how much more could I learn. Thanksgiving thoughts

I'm trying for a Christmas theme so let me know what you think. I remember as a kid this coming week being one the of greatest weeks EVER!! Besides Mom's turkey, shrimp salad and everything else, Thursday brought the Thanksgiving Day newspaper with all the Christmas ads and the TV Holiday Schedule. Rudolf, Charlie Brown Christmas, and Santa Claus is coming to town were my favorites. These days Thanksgiving does little for me except let me see family, watch parts of football games and feel sick from overeating. Have I lost the Holiday Spirit?
